Accent Chiropractic, St. Louis, MO

The chiropractic profession has many varying types of treatment styles. Some chiropractors use their hands while others use an instrument. No type of treatment style is right or wrong, but what is important is finding the treatment style that best fits your needs.  Just because you tried chiropractic once and it didn't help, doesn't mean that chiropractic care isn't right for you.

Here at Accent Chiropractic, we see patients on a one-on-one basis. You are working directly with Dr. Rafiq during the entire treatment.  Appointment times last approximately 20-30 minutes, but can extend beyond that based on the type of treatment being received.  One thing is for sure, you are never rushed. This is definitely not a “rack ‘em and crack ‘em” type of office. Dr. Rafiq makes sure that all of your questions are answered and that you have all of the necessary information regarding your condition.  We take great pride in letting you take control of your care. Dr. Rafiq is conservative with her care, so you will never be pressured into coming in more than she feels necessary.

Dr. Rafiq uses the most advanced treatment techniques, evidence-based chiropractic care, and manual therapy. Treatments consist of advanced decompression, joint manipulation/adjusting techniques, cutting edge manual therapy, soft tissue treatments, and functional rehabilitative exercises.  It is our goal not only to help get out of pain quickly, but to reach your goals in a timely fashion - even if that means you are referred to another healthcare professional outside of our office.

Leo Chirco

Leo is our Licensed Massage Therapist. Massage therapy does more than make you feel good, it can actually help your body achieve balance and health. Massage therapy offers a natural treatment approach which actually relieves musculoskeletal pain for many patients. Our chiropractic office provides specific massage and muscular therapy that is complimentary to their chiropractic care. Each massage therapy session is tailored to meet the patient’s unique pain condition or injury. The benefits of massage therapy may include the increase of blood circulation, a localized reduction in swelling and the relaxation of muscles. Massage has been known to relieve muscle pain and spasms, increase a patient’s range of motion, while also aiding in a patient’s recovery. Some investigative studies have even indicated that a single session of massage may help boost your immune system!

“I was taking 3 different prescription medications to manage my migraines, and was about to lose my job for missing so much work. A co-worker referred me to Dr. Rafiq and I was Amazed at how fast my migraines decreased. By doing Acupuncture and Chiropractic combined, I have just been weaned off my last medication, and I am almost 100% migraine free!”
